Responsibilities
- Application of engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and project-related information
- Swift learning and integration of new engineering methods into work processes
- Seek feedback and apply internal or industry best practices to improve technical solutions
- Demonstrate skill in time management and completion of software projects in a cooperative team environment
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related IT technical discipline
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript) and a willingness to learn new languages as needed
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and understanding of software development principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship or personal projects demonstrating software development skills and knowledge
- Basic understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration
- Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Experience with development tools (IDEs, debugging tools) and familiarity with relevant frameworks and libraries
Recruitment Process
- Application and CV: Candidates are invited to submit their applications along with their CVs.
- Online assessment: Selected candidates shall receive an email with a link and instructions to an online assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions and/or coding tasks, designed to gain an initial high-level overview of general and/or specific programming skills, commensurate to the advertised position, to be completed within 5 days of receipt. Expected timing: 40 minutes
- Online interview: Shortlisted candidates shall have an interview with the programming team, which may include a discussion on the online assessment, questions on technical skills and an opportunity for candidates to showcase their interests and experiences. Expected timing: 30 minutes
