Summary:
An Associate QA Engineer, primarily focuses on quality assurance in software product development projects. They work closely with the development team to ensure that the software meets the desired standards and requirements. Their main objective is to identify and prevent any defects or issues that may arise during the development process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop test cases based on the requirements and specifications of the software.
- Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing).
- Utilize defect tracking systems like JIRA to report and track issues discovered during testing.
- Help troubleshoot issues and provide evidence for issues.
- Proficient in test automation, including script development, execution, reporting, and maintaining test automation assets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and coverage, testing end-to-end business scenarios.
- Possess working knowledge of SQL, Test Automation & Test Automation Script Development, and Java Basics.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and an analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
- Have automation testing skills using Selenium, Java, TestNG, or any other data-driven framework (Mandatory).
- Experience in API testing through methods like RESTful services, REST Assured, etc., with Karate tool experience considered a Plus point.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, incorporating new testing techniques, tools, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
